“THE GREAT CINEMA IN MUSIC”: A SUCCESS FOR THE THIRD EDITION OF THE MNCG SUMMER CONCERT

On Friday, 20 June 2025, at Mario Fiore Barracks, the third edition of the traditional Summer Concert of the Multinational CIMIC Group took place, this year titled “The Great Cinema in Music”.

An eagerly awaited event by all personnel, which once again brought together numerous families and local authorities for a special evening dedicated to music and togetherness.

Taking the stage was the Orchestra di Fiati della Livenza, a young ensemble born in 2024 from the merger of the municipal bands of Motta di Livenza and San Stino di Livenza, conducted by Maestro Walter Bonadè.

With over 40 musicians and a highly emotional programme, the orchestra took the audience on an exciting journey through some of the most iconic film soundtracks: from John Williams (Indiana Jones) to Hans Zimmer (Pirates of the Caribbean), including great Italian classics such as La Strada and Life is Beautiful, and a heartfelt tribute to the musical genius of Ennio Morricone.

The evening was not only an important moment of cohesion for the personnel and families of the unit, but above all, a further opportunity to strengthen collaboration and dialogue with local institutions and the surrounding community — a key element of the MNCG’s mission.

This was also highlighted by the Commander of the MNCG, Colonel Piero Furlan, who stated:

“Music, like our mission, has the ability to build bridges between different worlds, to bring people and cultures closer together. Once again, this edition of the Summer Concert confirmed how important it is to create moments of sharing, not only to strengthen our esprit de corps, but also to consolidate those bonds of openness and collaboration with the local community and authorities — bonds which are an essential part of our daily work. The presence of our international military colleagues, who make up the Multinational CIMIC Group and who enthusiastically joined the evening, is further proof of this. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this event.”

Launched in 2023, the Summer Concert has become an event capable of uniting military personnel, families, authorities, and citizens through the universal language of music, helping to further strengthen the ties between the Unit and the local community.
